Abstract

The present work investigates the diffusion-thermo, chemical reaction, and radiation absorption effects on the unsteady MHD free convection flow in a vertical channel formed by two infinite vertical parallel plates with heat source and suction. A uniform magnetic field acts perpendicular to the porous surface, which absorbs the fluid with a suction velocity varying with time. The dimensionless governing equations are solved analytically using two-term harmonic and non-harmonic functions. The effect of various parameters such as chemical reactions parameter (γ), absorption radiation parameter (Q1), Schmidt number (Sc), heat absorption coefficient (Φ) , magnetic field parameter (M) , diffusion-thermo (D1) and permeability parameter (K) on the velocity, temperature, and concentration fields are presented graphically and discussed.
