Abstract

The extraction of the needles of the Moroccan yew (Taxus baccata) with a solution MeOH provides
the methanolic extract.
The separation of the different fractions of the methanolic extract by column of silica gel made it
possible to isolate two taxoids 19-Debenzoyl-19-acetyltaxinine 1 and 5-cinnamoylbrevifoliol (= 13-
deacetyltaxuspine) 2.
The identification of these alkaloids was established by high performance liquid chromatography
HPLC and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry CG/MS methods.
