Abstract

The present study is aimed at finding the taxonomic documentation of insect pest species on different crop fields of Badagaon village of Gwalior district. The study has been carried out in a period of one year from 2017 to 2018. Throughout the study period, a total number of 45 species of insects were recorded on different crop ecosystems. These pest species belong to 6 orders and 27 families. It was found that the insect species of Order Lepidoptera and Hemiptera are highly responsible for the destruction of crop yield and cause maximum damage to the crops.
