Abstract

The ultrasonic velocity (u), density (p), and viscosity (n) of a binary mixture of Pyridoxine hydrochloride with water in the concentration range (0 to 0.1 M) at 303K were determined using an ultrasonic interferometer technique at 2 MHz frequency. The acoustical parameters i.e adiabatic compressibility (Ba), relaxation time (T), acoustic impedance (Z), free length (Lf), free volume (Vf), and internal pressure (?_in ) were estimated using experimental observed values of ultrasonic velocity, density, and viscosity in order to investigate the existence and intensity of molecular association in the binary mixture of Pyridoxine hydrochloride and water. The obtained result supports the formation of complexes and molecular association through intermolecular hydrogen bonding.
