Increased Imports and Brazilian Industrial Stagnation: The Role of Class C in this Process

The research that brings you here analyzes the impacts promoted the growth of class C in the freezing process of the Brazilian industry and increased imports. This emerging market, known as Class C, incorporated some of the low income segment, has distinct characteristics and needs, and rightfully so eventually burden in the short term the production of Brazilian companies, who felt the need to opt for imported commodities, semi-manufactured and manufactured in order to maintain market share and return on their investments.
